The team at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber Military Network are supporting local RAF Museum Cosford near Wolverhampton for Virtual VE Day 75 Festival.
As the country prepares to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, with stay at home garden parties, the team at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber Military Network are supporting local RAF Museum Cosford near Wolverhampton, as they take part in the Tri-service museums Virtual VE Day 75 Festival.
In a way that the British do so well, the three museums of the Armed Forces will keep calm and carry on with their Virtual VE Day 75 Festival to replace individual pre-COVID-19 ambitions for marking this important anniversary.
The service museums are encouraging members of the public to come together, while staying at home, in conjunction with the government’s communications to ‘stay home and save lives’.
The Black Country Chamber, who lead on the national Chamber Military Network, an initiative which supports Chambers of Commerce across the country and their members to embrace and advocate the Armed Forces Covenant to make a positive impact on the local economy and business, will support the three historical institutions of the British Armed Forces; the Royal Navy, Army and Air Force.
The Chamber Military Network is headed up by Sarah Walker, she said, “This is an important anniversary and whilst we spend time at home with family, we urge everyone to get involved and support all those events taking place across the country.
“As a Chamber, we passionately support the work of the Armed Forces community, we run a number of projects including the UK-wide Chamber Military Network which enables ex-service personnel and their families to start their own ventures and become part of our business communities.”
