Project Lead: Mrs Sarah Walker, Enterprise Manager and Armed Forces Champion, Black Country Chamber of Commerce
Sarah is an experienced enterprise projects manager, business adviser and training consultant. Working for the Black Country Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the University of Wolverhampton, Sarah has led the development of the University’s award winning ‘Supporting the Unsung Hero’, business start-up programme and remains the lead training adviser and project manager. Working in her role with the Black Country Chamber of Commerce she has effectively developed a unique, relationship between the chamber and the MoD influencing policy and creating new opportunities for the Chamber and Armed Forces Community to work together. Sarah is a member of the MOD’s Partner Employment Policy group and Chair of the MOD Families Working Group.
Mrs Christine Dedman, Marketing and Communications Consultant
Christine is a marketing and communications professional with twenty years cross-sector experience working in both agency and in-house roles, before starting her business as a freelance consultant in 2013. Christine has held management roles in defence communications, armed forces charities as well as public sector/ trade associations and consumer PR. As the spouse to a serving Army Officer, Christine understands the inherent challenges of living a service family life and running a successful business.
